4.Detergent: For the sake of doing laundry, one must keep a packet of surf in the bag for emergency case of washing and wearing clean clothes while on pilgrimage.
5.Small praying mat: purchase a small sized mat that you can use to pray over and which can also fit in your backpack easily. Praying is one of the many things; one will be doing often while on pilgrimage and pick up a compact one to keep hands free while journeying from one place to another.
6.Umbrella: the climate during this period in Saudi Arabia is exceptionally hot. It is necessary to protect yourself from the heat of the sun and the best kind umbrella to help you survive the heat is a light coloured umbrella. Opting for a black one is unadvisable because black absorbs more heat than a light coloured one.
