On Arrival, drive to Coorg. Coorg, also known as Kodagu, by its anglicised former name of Coorg, is a mountainous district located in the south of India, known for its beautiful scenery and hospitable people. Glorious sounds, sights and scents welcome you as you enter Coorg. It occupies an area of 4,102 square kilometres (1,584 sq mi) in the Western Ghats of southwestern Karnataka. Kodagu is well known in the world for coffee, and Coorg is also known as the Scotland of India. Visit on the way, En route Coorg, visit the famous Buddhist Monastery and the Golden Buddha Temple located in Bylekuppe. Coorg - Wayanad

After breakfast, check out from the Hotel and drive to Wayanad. En route, you visit Lakkidi view point and Pookotu Lake. Lakkidi is a city located in the southern part of India in the state of Kerala and is considered as the gateway to Wayanad district. The city of Lakkidi is popular for mountain peaks, dense forest covers, and streams surrounding the region. Pookotu Lake is surrounded by densely forested hills. Pookat lake enchants you with its sheer natural splendour. A freshwater lake, Pookotu Lake makes for one unforgettable picnic out in the woods of Wayanad. You could simply sit on the banks of the river and continue being mesmerized, or hire a boat and get rowing in the lake through a maze of dazzling blue water lilies. Lunch at your own. Wayanad

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Wayanad. Later drive to Edakkal caves and the full day tour ends with visit to Chembra peak (subject to time of arrival). ( If you opt to visit in the morning, suggest carrying a packed breakfast) Muthanga wildlife sanctuary, also known as Wayanad National Park, is located 16 KM east of Sultan Bathery. The sanctuary was established in 1973, and it borders on the parks of Nagarhole and Bandhipur of Karnataka on the northeast and Mudumalai of Tamil Nadu on the southeast. The sanctuary is Rich in biodiversity and it is an integral part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve. The Edakkal Cave is 96ft long, 22ft wide, and 30ft high, a cleft formed by the vertical split of a rocky mountain. The rock wall is etched with carvings depicting human and animal figures and objects of human use. These carvings speak of a highly civilized people of pre-historic age, and have drawn the serious attention of archaeologists and historians worldwide. Chembra Peak is the highest peak in Wayanad district of Kerala. It is 2100m high and is a trekkers paradise. The whole of the Wayandu district can be seen from the peak when it is not foggy.
