Arrival in Leh

Meet our representative upon arrival in Leh and proceed to your hotel.

Leh is dotted with stupas and crumbling mud-brick houses, the Old Town is dominated by a dagger of steep rocky ridge topped by an imposing Tibetan-style palace and fort. Beneath, the bustling bazaar area is draped in a thick veneer of souvenir shops, bars, and restaurants. It is advisable to relax and acclimatize to such a high-altitude region. After lunch, drive to Visit Shanti Stupa & Leh Palace, Later in the evening walk around the local market.

Day 02
Tour of Hemis, Thiksey & Shey Monastery

After breakfast, we drive to visit Hemis Monastery situated 45 kilometres west of Leh; Hemis is the largest and the wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. From Hemis, you are driven back taking the same route to visit Thiksey Monastery, located on a hillock with formidable views of the Indus valley. This is especially noteworthy for its gigantic seated statue of the Maitreya and is also known for its (Dukhang) assembly hall which houses hundreds of rectangular prayer books, stacked between wooden covers and bound in silk. After that, we continue to drive through series of chortens to visit Shey Palace the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Dinner and Over Night at the Hotel in Leh.

  • We reserve the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to Force Majeure events, strikes, implementations of government rules/restrictions, lockdowns, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, overbooking of hotels/flights, cancellation / re-routing of flights, closure of / entry restrictions at a place of a visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we would not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.

  • Atlas Holidays will not be liable for any cancellations due to any rules/restrictions imposed by the government of India. The client has to bear all charges imposed because of any such implementation. 

  • Special Instruction due to current COVID19 situations:
    ï‚· All tourists would either have to present a vaccination completion certificate or a COVID-19 negative report at least 72
    hours before the scheduled travel or physically after arrival at the respective airports, this may vary as per State GOVT
    policies.
    ï‚· Vaccination completion certificate either be linked with Aadhar card.
    ï‚· Tourists will need to observe physical distancing of at least 6 feet to other groups of people.
    ï‚· The entrance of each attraction to have mandatory and hygiene and thermal scanning provision.
    ï‚· The use of a face cover and mask is mandatory for all visitors.
    ï‚· The security staff inside the attraction will ensure that there is no crowding in any area.

    ï‚· Tourists detected to have symptoms will have to be isolated, clinically assessed, and tested for COVID.

    they’ll be staying at, and the respective contact numbers to the concerned health officials at the airport.
    ï‚· They will also have to self-isolate from other group members in a room or area and use face mask till the time they are
    examined by a doctor.

  • 50% advance to be paid at the time of booking.
  • Air-fare is calculated at the time of proposal creation and is subject to change at the time of booking.
  • 100% payment is to be made for domestic packages before 15 days of the departure date.
  • 100% payment is to be made for international packages before 30 days of the departure date.
  • In case of cancellation, standard cancellation policies will be applicable or may be changed as per the policies.

If you Cancel your Holiday:

  • Cancellation policy charged by the local vendor depending on the season of travel will be applicable and the same needs to be accepted by the Guest.

  • Bookings Confirmed under Non-Refundable/Amendable/Cancellable Policy will be charged 100% once the booking gets confirmed.

  • Any on tour issues/changes or cancellation needs to be settled by local vendor/driver during the course of the tour and no refunds or issues will be entertained post-tour completion.

  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of the total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases, the operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However, a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.

  • Cancellations are strictly subjected to cancellation policies mentioned on the website & are irrespective of the date of booking.
